Påväg genom landet med Lidl så havererade mitt tåg här i Skebokvarn. Till min räddning fann jag denna pärla! Blev hämtad i bil i ösregn och kom till en nybäddad säng och kall pilsner, så min tur vände om!

What a trip! Had an absolute blast. Thank you for everything and all the hospitality! Highlights were celebrating a special birthday with spare ribs / BBQ in the hut and any possible opportunity for a swim in the lake.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay Susanne, the sauna was wonderful, you were very helpful and information was very clear and prompt. We slept very soundly because we were so cosy in the cabin. We will recommend to other cyclists.

We enjoyed a delightful stay in this stunning place and would recommend it to anyone. 

Arriving late evening and in the dark initially we were simply pleased to have arrived.

The next morning however when we looked out in daylight to a stunning lake view we were thrilled..... it is just breath taking. 

We were able to spend several days just indulging ourselves, swimming in the lake, fishing from the jetty, using the sauna and bobbing around on a boat exploring the lake. 

Toverstavik is also conveniently close to Stockholm (just over an hour's drive) and for anyone who hasn't been I would thoroughly recommend a trip and explore. We ended the day on a 'prawn boat trip' which is exactly what its sounds to be, a trip out exploring Stockholm's stunning archipelago as the sun goes down whilst eating as many prawns as you can and drinking! An experience!!

A seriously amazing gem immersed in nature. The cabins are small but really comfortable, you have a kitchen for yourself and private access to the water. Great facilities to dine outside, relax or rent canoes and explore the lake. We are a group of 6 friends and enjoyed the environment so much! Everything was perfect and Susanne was an amazing host, always present but not at all invading your privacy. Thanks for a great Midsummer 2020, probably the best of our life!!!!

We were lucky enough to spend some lovely days at Töverstavik in the summer. Located in a semi wooded tranquil  area surrounded by fields  and meadows, sloping down to a peaceful lake is Töverstavik. Only about  45 min from nearest airport with flights to and from Stanstead airport.

We barbecued late into the light summers night by the lake, fished in the lake and went for some lovely walks, picking wild flowers on our way, as we do in Scandinavia.  We also visited a local flee market followed by a  worth while trip to Sparreholms castle. Apart from just being a beautiful place to walk around,  Sparreholm castle is also the home of  a superb classic car museum as well as  hosts a large collection of Ericsson phones, going back decades.

If you are looking for the Scandinavian summer experience this is definitely the place to visit.  If you like a game of golf  there is a very good golf course nearby.

Would highly recommend a trip here! The location is breathtaking, quiet, and private. We booked for 3 nights to get away from the hustle and bustle of England to read our books, paint, relax. The scenery was beautiful and inspiring to draw, didn't have to leave our room for want of a view!!

Accomodation was more than what we needed with comfy beds! Using the Sauna and then running into the lake was a personal highlight for us!! Also cooking on the grill in the BBQ cabin was a great experience. Thank you! Cant wait to visit again 🇸🇪🇬🇧

Susanne is a really nice, warm and service minded host and easy to communicate with. The view is spectacular. The place looks like a peace of heaven on the earth. We enjoyed our short stay very much.Tack för en skön och avkopplande helg!

"A lovely little retreat from reality, these little gingerbread cabins next to a beautiful lake really showed the true beauty of the swedish country side. I loved staying in the cabins waking up to that wooden scent was absolutely beautiful, I had the best nights sleep and enjoyed spending a day on the river and lake in a little boat. We have stayed at Toverstavik twice and both times it has been enjoyable and very relaxing.  It is a tranquil setting with fantastic views over the lake.  You can do as much or as little as you like during your stay.  Lunch on the floating jetty, saunas, great meals in the lappkatan, walks and swimming in the lake.  Sitting on the jetty, watching the sunset with a gin and tonic, takes some beating.

We have visited this area of Sweden on many occasions.  There are some lovely towns to visit in the area, along with places of historic interest. It is easy to get around on quiet roads.

We cannot recommend staying here highly enough.  Give it a try.
